Okay, I admit it, we've been over-indulging in the joy of playing, snuggling and the lesser joys of caring for two rambunctious cats. I have officially become a card-carrying, cat-loving lady. Looking back at my photos since the two girls joined our lives, I've taken five times more cat-photos than food-photos. Of the few food photos I did take, there were some beauties.

To celebrate the hard work of the Japanese community for the annual new year celebration, we hosted the "thank you for your hard work" party. While we tried to figure out where to order the party catering from, I consulted other people more familiar with the preparations, and we ordered from Sushi Taro. They delivered five rounds of sushi and two rounds of appetizers, and it was all fantastic.
Nigiri Sushi and Maki Sushi
Round of karaage, edamame, shumai, tamagoyaki and yakitori.
In addition to the sushi and appetizers, they gave us two nice bottles of sake.

It's expensive, but seriously it's delicious.
