For a business trip to NYC, I tried out a new boutique hotel instead of the normal economy chain places. The reservation was made through Kintetsu,a Japanese travel agency, and they were able to secure a much better priced deal. The hotel is only two years old, and still lacks a full restaurant on site. They do have a room on the 10th Floor that handles breakfast and happy hour tapas.
Nice modern king bed room.
The room was clean, a good size (for NYC standards) and had a nice bathroom. There's no gym on site, but the hotel is located about two blocks from the office in New York.

Kintetsu was able to secure a free breakfast, which was very appreciated. Just looking at the limited menu, the eggs benedict was priced at $23. Unfortunately they were out of the grain mustard used in the hollandaise sauce, so my coworker and I had to order different dishes.
Mushroom and carmelized onion frittata with cheese and toast.
Open-faced sunnyside up eggs with sausages and cheese sandwich, with a side of potatoes.
$5 Bacon
Sad, reheated bacon, although quite tasty.
