Yokohama Tabehodai

While in Japan, I had a chance to meet up with my husband's family at a restaurant in Yokohama. In addition to the direct relations, they also organized the extended family in the area to join us. The last time the whole group was together was two years earlier when my and I traveled throughout Japan for a "meet the family" tour. The restaurant was a "tabehodai" or all you can eat buffet with a selection of entrees you can order to be made to order.
Assortment of salads and appetizers.

Assortment of hot dishes. Turnip stuffed with meat. Spaghetti with ham and asparagus. Crab.
Made to order seared wagyu beef with side of seared mushrooms.

IT was such a treat to spend time with the extended family. Since we just purchased a house, we hope to host many of his relatives.
