PIIE Luncheons Are the Best on the Think Tank Circuit

I frequent a number of think tanks in Washington, DC for work. After a decade of attending events at a variety of think tank, I feel I can say with conviction that the best lunch is held at Peterson's Institute for International Economics (PIIE). In fact, the former president of PIIE, Fred Bergsten, believed if you provided a  good lunch, you could attract a good crowd to listen to the economists present their latest findings and book launches. Fred Bergsten is a very intelligent man.
Lunch at a recent PIIE discussion.
Pan-seared sea bass, seared beef tenderloin, salad, green beans and mashed potatoes with gravy. Some days they have handmade truffles, but they always have a nice fruit plate and dessert bar in addition to the fantastic lunch buffet.
